Data Deletion Request

At BookBite AI we respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how to request deletion of your records from our systems, in compliance with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Your Rights Under KVKK / GDPR

You have the right to:

  • Learn whether your personal data is processed (KVKK Art. 11 / GDPR Art. 15)
  • Request rectification of inaccurate data (KVKK Art. 11(d) / GDPR Art. 16)
  • Request erasure of your personal data — “right to be forgotten” (KVKK Art. 7 / GDPR Art. 17)
  • Object to processing and request data portability (GDPR Art. 20)
  • File a complaint with the supervisory authority (KVKK: KVKK Kurumu / GDPR: your local DPA)

What Data Can Be Deleted

  • Your Instagram username/user ID or WhatsApp phone number
  • All messages exchanged through Instagram DMs or WhatsApp
  • Conversation history and timestamps
  • Reservation and booking records linked to your contact
  • Profile data (name, email, phone, preferences)

Submit a Deletion Request

Fill in any one of the fields below — whichever you used to interact with us. The more you provide, the faster we can locate and erase your records.

Submitting this form is irreversible once processed. We may contact you at the email or phone you provide to verify your identity before completing the erasure.

Alternative Methods

Email

Send an email to: kvkk@bookbiteai.com

Include:

  • Your Instagram username, email, or phone number
  • Subject line: “Data Deletion Request”
  • Confirmation that you want all your data deleted

Instagram Direct Message

DM our Instagram account: @bookbiteai

Write “I request deletion of all my data” and we will follow up to verify your identity.

Processing Timeline

Acknowledgement: within 48 hours of receipt.

Erasure: completed within 30 days, in line with KVKK Art. 7 and GDPR Art. 17(1).

Confirmation: we email you once the data has been removed.

Legal Retention Requirements

Some records (e.g. invoices, financial transactions, tax-relevant documents) must be retained under Turkish Tax Procedure Law and comparable EU regulations. Where retention is mandatory, we will tell you which categories are kept and for how long, and we will still erase everything else.

Automated Deletion (Meta)

If you remove our app's access from your Instagram or Facebook account settings, Meta automatically notifies us and we erase the associated data within 90 days, in compliance with Meta's Platform Terms.
